Narayana | Shuddha Dhanyasi | Vivek Sadasivam

Ushering in the season of Sri Rama Navami with a Kannada composition by Sri Purandara Dasa! Tuned in the raga of Shuddha Dhanyasi, this rachane evokes a lot of bhakti in me everytime I sing it, be it at home or on stage. In this concert, I've taken the liberty to explore a few lines of the charanam (aka niraval).
Accompanying me for this concert for Sri Rama Lalitha Kala Mandira were Vid. Mathur Srinidhi, Vid. H S Sudhindhra, Vid. Vazhappally Krishnakumar and Vid. Shivashankar Anekal, whose support was extremely valuable in making this a meditative experience on stage.
