KING ABDULLAH OF TRANSJORDAN VISITS JERUSALEM

(24 Jun 1948) The Jews, having decided their position was untenable, surrendered the old city of Jerusalem. On the day before the truce King Abdullah of Transjordan visited the City and prayed in the Mosque of Omar.
