STRABAG's Launching nose - BMTI and Zentrale Technik to use launching nose for bridge construction.
Because of their imposing presence, bridge projects attract a lot of public attention. But most people don’t know just how much sophisticated technology goes into building a bridge. Sometimes the construction requires something called a launching nose.
Facts to this special bridge construction:
- total weight of 130 t
- distance of 68 m between the priers
- total length of 39 m
- launching nose can compensate a maximum curvature of 400 mm
