Presentation Slide Makeover: How to design slides that are mostly text

Ok, so your slides have a lot of text. Does that mean it’s doomed to be dry, boring, and unengaging? Nope!
I'll be honest: that's what I enjoyed about this makeover. It's kind of like a blank slate for me when it's all text -- there are a lot of directions I can go. Plus, all of us can relate to having this type of slide. I've made them, you've made them, we've all made them. And I do not use a visual on 100% of my slides -- so it's important to know how to design text well. Basically, this makeover was a chance for me to show you that you can make some big improvements with very little time, and still using text.
This slide deck was submitted by one of my email list subscribers, David Dreyfus. This slide deck is a great representation for the types of slides that we've all seen (and created): It’s mostly text, it has bullet points, and there is a template. So I used animations, information design (alignment, grouping, white space, and others) to make some improvements. Hope you enjoy!
