Is the BMC Fourstroke the future of cross country mountain bikes? Available only until 28th November! http://gmbn.tech/el The Fourstroke is a full carbon, full suspension race bike that comes with a very neat proprietary integrated dropper post. Rolling capably over the terrain on 29 inch wheels, with 100mm of travel front and rear. A Fox 32 fork balances the bike up front whilst a Float DPS rear shock absorbs any punishment you can throw at the bike. Both have remote lockouts on the bars to instantly stiffen the bike up for efficient power transfer when sprinting and climbing. But what about the geometry? It's got a slack headtube angle of 67.5 degrees, and is designed around a shorter stem for faster and technical descents. The frame is 1X specific so that the bottom bracket has better stiffness and tyre clearance, but it also has the benefit of meaning that the chainstays can be made shorter for a snappy ride. With a full Shimano XTR groupset the gear range is more than capable of hammering up steep climbs with a reliable and smooth transmission. With the 1X drivechain, the bars are clean enough to include the dropper remote and the suspension lockouts. But the most critically acclaimed feature of the Fourstroke is the integrated dropper post. With a proprietary RAD design (Race Application Dropper) the seat post offers a 100 gram saving over most conventional dropper posts without compromising on performance, and looking super slick.
