France is to return dozens
France is to return dozens of antiques stolen from Senegal and Benin.
They are a tiny fraction of the estimated 19,000 pieces of art plundered during the French colonial rule in Senegal.
French museums are thought to have at least 90,000 antiques from all over Africa.
Al Jazeera’s Nicolas Haque reports from Djillor in Senegal’s Sine Saloum Delta, where there are growing calls to get them back.
