Various shots Hawker Tempest fighter taking off and in flight.  Plane does lots of fancy moves and loop-the-loops - could be test flight?  M/S crew running towards planes and the planes taking off.  Various L/Ss aerial dogfight, one plane crashes in sea.  M/S  squadron gathered around blackboard, one adds a chalk drawing of plane to row - marking how many enemy planes they have destroyed.  Various shots ground mechanics tinkering with engine of Tempest, one mechanic loads bullets into wing gun. More shots Tempests taking off.  

Amenment September 2011: Fottage is of a Hawker V series destroying German V1 Rockets, not German aircraft.  The rockets were known as "buzz bombs."

The stunts performed by the pilots of the Hawker V's are actually barrel roles, not loop the loops.
