New project!!! After a month of designing, I'm finally starting the build of my DIY fiber laser tube cutting machine. I want to tackle the most complicated part first, so we're starting with the self-centering front chuck. There are many mechanisms that do self-centering, but when you want to accommodate rectangle-shaped tube it becomes more complicated, because you need two independent self-centering mechanisms. In this video, we get my front chuck design machined and assembled in preparation for installing it on the frame.
