I thought there might be some cross-over interest for this show as this was a Dick Clark Production that aired after American Bandstand on Saturday mornings from 1968-1969. I almost posted this last week and, after Regis Philbin passed away last weekend (RIP), I decided it was an appropriate time to share it. Enjoy!

Which band did you like best?

This was the episode the crazy hippie girls were watching when Brad Pitt visited them at Spahn Ranch in the movie “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood”.

Mark Lindsay mentions that Casey Kasem does voice acting for cartoons. By this time, he was already doing the voice of Robin for “The Batman/Superman Hour” and he will be the voice of Shaggy when “Scooby Doo, Where Are You!” premiers on Sept. 13 on ABC.

Jon Provost mentions filming a movie for “Walt Disney’s Wonderful World of Color” called “Something’s Happened To Dexter”. This was actually released as a feature film in late 1969 and retitled “The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes” starring Kurt Russell.

Regis was Joey Bishop’s sidekick on “The Joey Bishop Show” which ran on ABC from 1967-1969. Did anyone watch Joey Bishop instead of “The Tonight Show”?

In the news: Yesterday, March 28, President Dwight D. Eisenhower died at Walter Reed Army Hospital in Washington D.C.  He was 78 years old.

Thank you for watching! Please wear a mask and continue social distancing. It absolutely does make a difference.
See you Saturday for another American Bandstand clip, but until then….Have A Happening!
