Sen. Peter Welch (D-VT) became the first Democratic senator to call on President Joe Biden to step aside as the Democratic nominee on Wednesday night. The Vermont senator, in an op-ed in the Washington Post, asked Biden to step aside after “the national conversation is focused on Biden’s age and capacity.”
