Israel tested an air taxi over Jerusalem on September 13, 2023, part of an Israeli experiment to develop a network of drones to carry passengers and cargo. Dubbed the Israel National Drone Initiative, the programme is backed by several public and private companies and is a bid to ease the country’s traffic congestion.
