باغ کتاب تهران یکی از جاذبه‌های گردشگری جدید پایتخت محسوب می‌شود که با وجود مدت کم فعالیت از محبوبیت بالایی برخوردار است.
این مجموعه فرهنگی در منطقه گردشگری عباس آباد و جنب کتابخانه ملی ایران قرار دارد و با فراهم نمودن امکانات رفاهی به‌ویژه برای کودکان محیطی جذاب را برای گردش، تفریح و البته ارتقای فرهنگ کتاب و کتابخوانی فراهم کرده است.
باغ کتاب تهران بزرگترین مجموعه کتاب و سرگرمی‌های علمی کشور یا به‌عبارتی بزرگترین کتابفروشی ایران محسوب می‌شود که در فضایی در دوطبقه با زیربنای ۶۵ هزار متر مربع و وسعت ۱۱۰ هزار متر مربع در اراضی عباس آباد احداث شده است.

باغ کتاب تهران در نیمه نخست سال همه روزه حتی روزهای تعطیل از ساعت ۹ تا ۲۳ پذیرای بازدیدکنندگان است. همچنین در روزهای پنجشنبه و جمعه نیز باغ کتاب تا ساعت ۲۴ به فعالیت خود ادامه می‌دهد. در نیمه دوم سال نیز همه روزه از ساعت ۹ تا ۲۱ و تعطیلات آخر هفته (پنجشنبه و جمعه) تا ساعت ۲۲ پذیرای عموم است.
