Astrology and the Rig Veda

In the Rig Veda, which was written somewhere in the time range 1700 - 11 BC, there are descriptions of a "wheel of life" that clearly is metaphorical language for a division of the sky. These divisions sound like they are similar to zodiac signs. Also, Babylonian astrology was developed through a huge amount of effort. These traditions provided material that was used in the development of Hellenistic astrology.
