Biomes are a staple to the adventurous aspect of Minecraft. Updates are designed to give a fresh experience while playing Minecraft, but what about the biomes that are left behind without updates?
Everybody loves the different biomes in Minecraft. Most biomes, especially the unique and rarer ones, bring special incentives, such as an exclusive block or mob you can't find anywhere else. Most of these biomes are updated rather frequently to reflect the changing atmosphere of Minecraft throughout every update.
However, there's one unique biome that hasn't seen any updates in... nearly 8 years. Many people have forgotten about this biome's existence completely due to its lack of recognition from Minecraft.
The forgotten Minecraft badlands show that even though a biome can look extremely unique on the surface, Minecraft isn't necessarily going to pay attention to it, nor will some of the players who yearn for more of a reason to explore the biome... but why? There have been teasers from years ago that show the badlands with a remade and more unique structure to it, yet why have those updates seemingly been placed on the back burner for Minecraft 1.21?
The goal and purpose of this video are to explain the history behind the Minecraft Badlands, its possible reasons as to why it has seemingly faded into obsolescence both Mojang and community-wise and the possible places that Minecraft could take this biome in future updates.
