Here's a memorable commercial from the era from Oreo Cookies, featuring the "Middleman” mascot guy - the creamy middle frosting inside an Oreo cookie come to life and imploring you not to "Fiddle with the Middle", until the kids set him straight and he decides to immediately reverse course by saying "Go ahead and fiddle with the Oreo middle...There's Not a Better Middle You Can Fiddle…With!"
