Tirundudevankudi Karkadeswarar Temple(திருந்துதேவன்குடி கற்கடகேசுவரர் கோயில்)[1] is a Hindu temple located at Tirundudevankudi in Thanjavur district of Tamil Nadu, India. The historical name of the place is Karkteeswaram and Nandankoil. [2] The presiding deity is Shiva. He is called as Karkadeswarar. His consort is known as Apoorvanayaki.

According to the legend, a crab is said to have worshipped god Shiva here and a scene of a crab offering worship to shiva is depicted in one of the stone pillars inside the temple. It is believed that the image of a golden crab can be seen on the Sivalingam after performing some rituals.

This temple is in a dilapidated state. The original temple was built with brick and mortar which was later converted into a stone temple. There are 2 shrines for the female deity, one for Arumarundunayagi and the other one for Aravindanayagi. Inscription from the Chola period are found in this temple and the temple seems to have lost its importance after the Chola rule.
