ADF aircrews to the rescue

Australian Defence Force aircrews flying Australian Army MRH-90 Taipan helicopters responded to a Queensland Government request to provide assistance to south-east Queensland residents trapped by rising floodwaters.

Beginning on Friday, 25 February 2022, School of Army Aviation helicopters and crews from Oakey picked up several residents from across the region and delivered them safely to RAAF Base Amberley, south-west of Brisbane.
