In this week’s video, we’re going to go over exactly what employers are looking for in a great applicant. That’s coming up.

The great thing about Snagajob working with both employers and job seekers is that we can tell you exactly what they’re looking for. In your interview, you want the employer to know you are the right person for the job. We’re here to let you in on what employers look for in a perfect candidate.
1. Flexibility
Employers typically have openings that are based around times they need people to work. Therefore, being flexible and working around their schedule will give you a leg up.
2. Open to learning
Even if you’re going in for your very first job, you might be more likely to land the job if you seem willing to learn and gain new skills. Many employers prefer someone who is open to learn new things over someone with experience who is stuck in their ways.
3. Ability to work on a team
The majority of all jobs require working on a team. Showing that you can work collaboratively and are easy to get along with will allow the employer to see how seamlessly you will fit in among the rest of the team.
4. Personality
On paper, all applicants tend to run together and seem the same. Letting your personality shine can help you stand out and show that you would be great at interacting with customers as well. The employer can notice this in a variety of ways whether it’s through using video apply or going more in depth in your interview.
