Cannes, a resort town on the French Riviera, is famed for its international film festival. Charming, medieval Le Suquet is home to steep cobbled alleys, Marché Forville’s food stalls, and candy-colored cottages winding inland from Vieux Port’s yacht-filled marina. Hilltop Château de la Castre’s museum displays Riviera landscape art, and Gothic-style Notre-Dame d'Espérance church offers sweeping views over the Bay of Cannes. Jazz bars, indie stores, and bistros serving Provençal dishes line the streets.
