Do you really need to own additional external storage for your photography? It depends... For most photographers, the answer is yes. While you will get faster processing speeds with your photos stored on an internal solid-state drive, your storage will fill up if you do very much photography at all. Internal storage is generally more expensive and may be difficult to back up. If you don't shoot very frequently and have a large internal storage on your computer (greater than 1TB), you may get away with using internal storage for a while. An external solid-state drive is ideal for most photographers because it will allow you to edit your images on multiple computers, comes at a better price for larger sizes, and makes it easy to get additional external drives as your storage fills up. The drive size you'll need will depend on what kind of camera you use and how frequently you shoot, but a 2TB external solid-state drive is a good place to start for most photographers. #photography #photographytip #photographygear #landscapephotography #improvephotography
