Nutone PurePower Vacuum Autopsy ("Pure Junk")

We traded in this NuTone PurePower central vacuum unit after its motor burned out, so I am taking a closer look at its construction and failure before it heads to the dumpster.

Brand awareness does not equal quality.

"Open line" (contractor's supply house rather than installing dealer) products are often (but not always) poorly installed with little to no after-sale customer care available. In the case of a niche product like a built-in vacuum, issues like these can negatively affect the customer's perception of the entire product category, reducing the likelihood that they would purchase another system in the future.
