The Bible Project is a non-profit organization based in Portland, Oregon, USA. The project was founded by Tim Mackie and Jon Collins. Tim Mackie is a former pastor and holds a Ph.D. in Hebrew Bible and Jewish Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Jon Collins is a former animator and designer. Together, they lead the team that creates the videos and other resources for The Bible Project.


The team consists of scholars, artists, animators, designers, writers, and other professionals who collaborate to produce animated videos, podcasts, study guides, and other resources aimed at helping people understand the Bible better. Their goal is to provide accessible and engaging content that explores the literary, historical, and theological themes of the Bible.
