Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the Demonetization of Rupees 500 and 1000 in India as an initiative to fight against Black Money, Bribery and Corruption. The Government of India and the Reserve Bank intern encouraged the citizens to step into cashless economy and use online transactions & card transactions. Card transactions means using the ATM cards, Debit cards and Credit Cards issued by Visa, Maestro, Master Cards & RuPay Cards. The cards are offerd by all the banks like State Bank of India group (SBI), Indian Bank, Bank of India (BoI), Indian Overseas Bank (IOB), Canara Bank, Oriental Bank, Syndicate Bank, Lakshmi Vilas Bank (LVB), Karur Vysya Bank (KVB), Bank of Baroda, ICICI, HDFC, IDBI, Axis Bank, Yes Bank, Punjab National Bank (PNB) ect. These online transactions let us shop online (on flipkart, amazon, myntra, jabong, snapdeal), book train and bus tickets (on redbus, abhibus, IRCTC), book movie tickets (on bookmyshow), book hotel rooms (on makemytrip), recharge mobile (on paytm, freecharge), get top up (for airtel, aircel, vodafone, mts, idea, tata docomo, reliance jio, bsnl, mtnl), buy groceries (on bigbasket),pay DTH bills (for tata sky, sun direct, Videocon), pay electricity, water bills and many more.
