I've recently purchased an Autel MS300 OBD2 Scanner Code Reader on Amazon and thought I'd share how you can use it to find out why your "check engine" light is on and how you can turn it off!
Autel MS300 OBD2 connects to your vehicle's OBD port, usually located under the steering wheel, near the pedals, on the left hand side. Make sure you find the port before buying the scanner!
After a few simple steps, you will get a "Diagnostic Trouble Code" that you can search online to interpret - really easy!
If you want, you can also turn off the annoying engine light using the "erase" feature. Please note: this does not fix your car! I recommend you still take it to your dealership for a proper fix!
