Robert and Daniel Harris kidnapped and killed John Mayeski and Michael Baker, both sixteen for their car, then casually finished their meal before being apprehended for robbery.   Steve Baker, a detective and Michael's father, learned that one of the suspects he arrested was accused of killing his own son, an hour after finishing his shift. On March 6, 1979, Robert Harris was found guilty by the San Diego County Superior Court of two counts of first-degree murder, along with special circumstances. He was also convicted of two counts of kidnapping. As a result, Robert received a death sentence.   A 25-year wait ended as California resumed the execution procedure. There were 48 official witnesses to Harris's execution. Witnessed by diverse motivations, they saw a dying man, each with a unique perception. "Procedure 769: Witness to an Execution" is a 1995 Dutch documentary capturing interviews with eleven witnesses, including victims' families, during Robert's gas chamber execution at San Quentin State Prison in 1992.
