Convergent Evolution

What is convergent evolution? How are animals able to evolve very similar body forms, despite being completely unrelated to each other?  This short film explores the evolutionary phenomenon known as 'convergent evolution' and examines some prime examples among different (and completely unrelated) animal groups. From the evolution of flight to the return to the sea, we showcase three fascinating and astonishing examples of convergent evolution.
