On May, 9, Volodymyr Zelenskyi appointed former head Valeriy Zaluzhnyi as Ukraine's ambassador to the United Kingdom. The corresponding decree was posted on the head of state's website. Earlier, by decree dated May 8th, Zelenskyi discharged Zaluzhnyi from military service due to health reasons. Journalists also reported that Zaluzhnyi underwent a medical examination in winter, where he was found unfit for military service.
