Hi everyone!
Welcome to my new video. Today, I will show you my trip to Alsace, France. There will be vineyards, picturesque villages, beautiful buildings and more!

The first stop in the video will be one of the many vineyards in Alsace.
Since the trip was in September, it was the perfect time for anyone who is interested in wine. We were right on time to see the harvest of the grapes. In a couple of months, these grapes will the turned into delicious wine.

After having enjoyed all these vineyards, it’s time to head to Colmar. But before exploring this picturesque city, it was time for a pumpkin spiced latte at Starbucks.
There are many different reasons to visit Colmar. It definitely gives some romantic vibes. What I personally love about Colmar is that it’s super colourful. It’s almost like Colmar is something out of a fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm.

As you might know, the stork is Alsace’s mascot, since you often see them sitting on their nests, no matter what village or city you are visiting in Alsace.
Unfortunately, we didn’t see any of them this time, since it was the last week of September when we visited these places. If you really want to see them, Spring or Summer would be the best time to travel here.

Next to the beautiful architecture, you can also find shops where you can buy delicious pastries, candy such as caramel bonbons, or beautiful macarons in all different colors and flavors.

The next village where we make a quick stop is Kaysersberg. In the distance you can see the Chateau de Kaysersberg, which is a ruined castle. You can still visit it and enjoy the beautiful looks of Kaysersberg and its vineyards. As far as I know, it’s all for free.

As we were on our way to my personal favorite village in Alsace, we came across some cute and typical Alsace features, such as the Alsatian boy and girl, wine barrels and beautiful half-timbered houses.

Riquewihr really gives me some Beauty and the Beast vibes. Imagine Belle walking down this street towards the fountain with a book in her hands. I can really picture this scene taking place here, eventhough I have no idea whether Riquewihr was an inspiration for the movie. Please let me know in the comments whether you feel the same way!

Riquewihr is beautifully situated between the vineyards, has beautiful streets and squares with half-timbered houses and is largely surrounded by defensive walls. Or actually the city walls, because Riquewihr is officially a city, because it received city rights in 1320.

Thank you all for watching! If there are places in the Alsace that I didn’t visit this time but I HAVE to visit, please drop them in the comments and I will try to go there next time! Bye guys!
