Uyghur Stories with Ruslan Yusup (2013) 41 minutes subtitles in English

Ruslan Yusup is the well-known Uyghur painter, and currently living in Almaty, Kazakhstan. He was born in Ghulja and immigrated to Kazakhstan at his small age with his family. He graduated from one of the famous universities in Russia — Stroganov Moscow State Academy of Arts and industry. In 1995, he was invited to instruct in the East Turkistan (also known as Xinjiang) Art institute in Urumchi. He experienced unforgettable happiness during the period as he said:  I realized the value of own language and own land at that time. I thought that I have to give my knowledge to those Uyghur students. So I worked hard and spent my days and nights with them.
