In this episode of legal shots our legal expert Adv Naman Mohnot has explained the Model Tenancy Act (MTA) 2021 introduced by the Central Government which aims to make rent laws more equitable for landlords and tenants and smoothen the processing of renting a home. Further discussed the provisions of the act which are that The regulation is applicable prospectively and It is not applicable to hotels, lodging houses, dharamshala, inn, or premises for industrial use also Sub-letting of property may be made only with permission of the landlord and The tenant shall not make any structural changes in the rental premises without the landlord’s consent and many more provisions are explained in the video.
