Sobriety Sunday's is a pilot project initiated to shed light on stories of recovery throughout the Muslim community. On this episode Abdirahman meets with an old friend and mentor of his Said Shaiye, Said Shaiye is an Autistic + ADHD Author, Photographer, Professor & Disability Advocate in Minneapolis. His debut memoir, Are You Borg Now?, was a 2022 Minnesota Book Award Finalist. He has contributed essays to the anthologies Muslim American Writers at Home and We Are Meant to Rise: Voices for Justice from Minneapolis to the World.
