Should Students Love School?

If you had asked me years ago whether kids should love school, I would have said, "I hope so, but no, they don’t need to love school. What they really need to do is learn and grow there."

Then I had my own children, and I can't stomach the idea of sending them away for 8 hours every day of their entire childhood to a place they don't have any love for. And if I feel that way for my kids, shouldn't I feel the same for others?
