The MLT leveling System, or Mechanical Lippage Tuning, is a tile leveling system designed to have a minimum of waste, and have many options for the installation of all kinds of tiles from 12"x12" and larger. This system has four kinds of base plates used for different types of installations. The most versatile is the porcelain tile base plate, there are also base plates designed for stone tile, offset joints and thin tiles. To use the system a strap with a base plate is placed at every corner of the tile and then a cap is slid onto the strap and tightened with the tool that resembles a gun. If needed the top caps can be removed to make adjustments or clean grout joints. The tile is then allowed to set and then all the reusable components are removed with the help of the tension tool. Some cleaning of the components may be needed, but all of them are reusable. I have used many types of leveling systems, (visit my channel to watch the videos) and have found this one to be the most versatile, the system has been well designed and has many options available for practically any tile installation where a leveling system would be beneficial, there is virtually no waste, and its reusable parts are very durable.
