Silent Alarm is the debut
Silent Alarm is the debut album by British indie rock group Bloc Party. It is a highly danceable post-punk album with indie rock elements thrown in for good measure. This is the music that was playing when the hipster had just started to become a buzz word.
It features amazing singles in So Here We Are, Banquet, Pioneers, Two More Years, and Helicopter. And it has such a broad appeal that fans of pop, electronic music, punk rock, and a host of other genres all were able to enjoy this record and branch out their tastes into other genres. I personally became a much bigger fan of electronic music as a direct consequence of listening to this album. On top of that Brendon and I will share some insights in our review on why this album is technically interesting to listen to as well. So let's get into it!
