I (Mitch) LOVE CAT STEVENS!!! My mom raised me on his music and I re-connected with him in adulthood. There is a certain feeling that overtakes me when listening to such a genuine lyricist and musical artist. It is no wonder that his music was able to connect with so many people. Amazingly, Cat Stevens still has 7 million monthly listeners on Spotify!!
Today, we react to my favorite Cat Stevens song, and one of my favorite songs of all time, called ‘Sitting’. The profundity of the sound and lyrics of this song can not be overstated. It is simply a beautiful and transcendent work that touches me in a beautiful way. This song is from his album ‘catch the bull at four’. He is also know for songs like ‘peace train’ and ‘wild world’, and ‘father and son’, as well as albums such as ‘Tea for the Tillerman’ and ‘Teaser and the Firecat’.
