African 100m champion Ferdinand Omanyala anchored the Kenyan quartet to win the men’s 4x100m title, adding to his individual gold medal in the 100m dash, on a day Kenya confirmed that its sprint prowess is here to stay.

Team Kenya won in a national record time of 39.28 secs ahead of South Africa (39.79) and Zimbabwe (39.81).
