If one desires to paint
If one desires to paint a person or landscape the way it truly looks, drawing and value are the foundation to this goal, not color. If drawing and values are wrong, the painting will fail to capture the essence of the subject. First drawing, then values, then use only red, yellow & blue, then use a full palette of colors.
