Kaiser-Wilhelm-Siegesmarsch [Prussian march]

The Kaiser Wilhelm victory march (Army March II, 189) was composed by the Prussian military musician Gottfried Piefke under the original title Siegesmarsch in 1864. He was dedicated to the then Prussian King Wilhelm I. The march was to commemorate the victory of the Prussian troops in the German-Danish War. After the proclamation of William I to the German Emperor in 1871, the title of the march was then supplemented.
