An ever controversial topic, I cover why, in my experience, I find that spending more money on competent designs leads to better sounding speakers. While it may be possible to find very affordable speakers that offer very good frequency response, good dispersion, high output, or good aesthetics, getting all of these in one package tends to cost more. In addition, spending more often leads to incremental and meaningful improvements in performance.
