Although their life based on hunting buffalo in the vast American plains came to an end in 1875, the Comanche Indians adapted to modern life and today are relatively prosperous and proud of their heritage. They mingle with people of other tribes and races every day, while trying to maintain cultural traditions and a language that underscore their identity.
