In the last year, the Department of Education has opened several investigations into American universities after complaints that those universities are systematically discriminating against male students. Some of those complaints were filed by Kursat Pekgoz, a doctoral student in English literature at the University of Southern California. Pekgoz, a men’s rights activist who has used federal complaints to target women-only scholarships and programs, is now trying to start a national movement to end what he sees as discrimination against men.
