Infrared, are non-contact temperature sensors. https://www.tme.eu/en/katalog/piromet...
The measurement is non-invasive. In order to make a measurement, a IR sensor does not have to exchange heat with an object being measured.
This way, IR thermometers do not interfere with the temperature field during the measurement, and their dynamic characteristics are incomparably better.
