Homemade Balushahi Recipe | Halwai’s Style Balushahi Recipe at home with Easy and Quick Steps | Delicious, Tasty & Unique Dessert to try for this Eid ul Adha

Balushahi is one of the traditional desserts made or enjoyed at special occasion in indian-sub continent. It is very similar to glazed doughnut but very different in texture, ingredients and taste. It is very tasty because dipped in sugar syrup and delicious and mouthwatering dessert to enjoy.

As Eid is approaching and most of the families always wanted to serve new dessert for their relative during get to gather, thus this one is very unique, simple and delicious recipe to try in.

Ingredients for Balushahi Dough
Ghee:   3 Tbsp
Yogurt:          2 Tbsp
Maida:   1 Cup
Salt           ½ Tsp
Baking Soda  1 Tsp

Ingredients for Sugar Syrup
Sugar   1 Cup
Water   ½ Cup
Saffron          Few Strands
Cardamom Powder 1 Tsp
Food Color:  ¼ Tsp

Step by Step Direction
-Take melted ghee in a big bowl.
-Add yogurt and mix with help of spatula
-Now add All-Purpose Flour (Maida), salt and baking soda.
-Mix all ingredients softly, do not knead, and just combine.
-Now knead a soft dough by adding little water as required.
-Cover it, and keep it aside for 15-20 minutes
-Lets prepare sugar syrup, take one cup sugar in a big pan
-add ½ Cup water, cardamom powder, few strands of saffron and food color.
-Cook it on medium flame until 1 string consistency
-Now take prepared dough, make small round balls and make a deep dent in middle.
-Heat oil in a pan and pour the balls in it to fry
-Fry until it becomes golden brown from both sides
-Now take it out and transfer to prepared warm sugar syrup
-Soak in sugar syrup 10 minutes (Each Side)
-Tasty Balushahi is ready.
-Garnish with chopped pistachio and enjoy Halwai’s Style Balushahi at home.
