Because it can affect people at a young age, they will often need treatment for many years and during that period they may not be able to participate to their full potential in society.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has seen explosive growth and major breakthroughs over the last years and will surely impact every aspect of modern life and society. Scientists and clinicians have already begun to explore its potential for mental health research and treatment. The first results are enormously promising.
