Gaïa is a work by contemporary French artist Romain Langlois.

In this bronze sculpture, Romain Langlois very realistically imitates the aspect of rock. The textures are obtained in the casting process and the colours through different patinas. The interior is polished so as to give the bronze this golden hue and glints of light.

Romain Langlois has denatured this somewhat banal object giving it an appearance of value and a liquid and stretched outlook. This piece seems to defy gravity, intriguing us and transforming our impression of it.
