One definition for a "Genius
One definition for a "Genius Idea" could be that it immediately makes you wonder "Why on Earth didn't we think about that before?" We think Howard Glasser, Executive Director of the Children’s Success Foundation and creator of The Nurtured Heart Approach ©, fits both bills...both he and his idea, are genius.
A psychologist from Tucson, AZ, Howard was once himself what you might call "a difficult child". Over the years he noticed how we give much more of our attention and energy to children when they misbehave - rather than when they are being great. Wouldn't it make sense in their minds then that misbehaving is the way to go to get any sort of attention? Kids thrive, or not, on the energy they receive from the people around them, and The Nurtured Heart Approach © works, to astonishing effect, because it turns upside down this habit of energizing the negative, and in the process creates "inner wealth" in a child - the belief that you are valuable.
