The The President's Own United States Marine Band premieres “Century of Service” at the last Marine Barracks Washington 8th & I parade to honor 100 years of women in the Corps.

The march is being conducted by The President’s Own United States Marine Band’s first female assistant drum major, Gunnery Sgt. Stacie Crowther.

Marine Barracks Washington performs a parade every Friday. The parade is a one hour and fifteen minute performance of music and precision marching, the Evening Parade features "The President's Own" United States Marine Band, "The Commandant's Own" The United States Marine Drum and Bugle Corps, the Marine Corps Color Guard, the Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon, Ceremonial Marchers, and Cpl. Chesty XIV, the official mascot of Marine Barracks Washington.
