June 2018 Using VAG Tacho To Get SKC Code & Program Key Transponders To Work With A 2004 VW Passat

This is the step by step process I had to follow to program up to 4 ignition keys that will start and run a 2004 VW Passat.  The Passat has the immobilizer system that must recognize a transponder chip in the key to keep running. I bought the car with one key which got lost. I had a picture of the key. I had great help from Mark1 Service  Sidewinderkey.com. I sent them the picture of the key and they were able to cut me two keys. I then rented the VAG Tacho Cable adaptor from them and downloaded the VAG Tacho software. I was then able with some trial and error to program my Keys.
