Curious about Takt Time??? Takt Time is the time element equal to the demand rate from the customer. It reflects the amount of time it should take you to produce a single part in your process. It's calculated as your available production time, divided by your customer demand. Knowing your takt time is critical in lean, because it can be compared to your process cycle times, to look for bottlenecks or opportunities to smooth out your production flow, and to meet customer demand.
