COP28 is a joke. Our future isn't.

The world’s most important conference on climate change, COP28, is about to take place in Dubai. Because politicians are stalling on climate action, we wanted to do everything we could to raise awareness about it. WHAT’S THE PROBLEM❓ COP28 is already coming under fire before it has even started: it’s being hosted in the United Arab Emirates, where you can’t criticize the government, corporations or individuals. And the president of COP28 is the CEO of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company. A recent leak revealed plans to use the event to promote fossil fuels and facilitate oil deals. Meanwhile, just last week, the UN released a report warning that the world was on track for a 3°C rise in temperatures within this century, compared to pre-industrial levels. In 2021, governments had agreed to keep temperatures well below 2°C. ✊ WHAT CAN YOU DO? OK, that sounded a bit depressing. But it doesn’t mean we should stop pressuring politicians to agree on legally binding measures to stop the climate crisis. Speak up about COP and share this video with your friends.
